Growing the Kingdom of God –

St John’s seeking to know Jesus, to show Jesus

love to others

and to make Jesus known to all.

Mission Action

· Church road sign

· More advertising of events in Telford Journal, local radio etc. Advertise social events but also special church events during Harvest, Easter and Christmas.

· Develop our outside noticeboards, our website, our Lawley newsletter. Have a noticeboard in the church hall to let people who use the hall know what is going on at St John’s.

Youth and Children’s Work

· Have youth focused services. Perhaps use well known music, film clips etc to connect with youth and young adults. Involve different members of the congregation. This may be at a different time on a Sunday. OR it might be on a different day during the week.

· Emma Philips is considering to organise a pram service

· A further Christmas event to connect with local families who want to bring their children to a Christmas church event. 9.15am could be too early for some families. Perhaps an afternoon event during the week leading up to Christmas?

· Children’s resources for the Sunday services

· A work in progress already. We will review what service model is the best – Sunday mornings, or afternoons.

ALPHA Course.

* For those who are seeking to understand things of God.

Pastoral Contact

· Explore other forms of pastoral contact with those who used to attend, baptism couples, those bereaved, couples married at St John’s.

· To make sure everything can be seen and heard during a service, especially the preaching (Sound System)

· Use well known hymns in the services which everyone knows.

· Grit for paths up to church

· Revision of certain Sunday Worship printed orders of Service
